Default HomeMade Intake

4" intake system, I still need to mount the AIT, just awaiting for an extention harness from ram Air.
I really am impressed with the differance, and the nice growl. IMO it really helps with the topend.
Still needs to painted. I will post some pics when I do.

Looks good.

I was wondering how it's supported so it doesn't come off of the TB after time due to vibration?

Might wanna wrap some foam around the aircompressor line there or it will soon have a hole in it. Also try getting your filter down towards the front lower, you are gonna suck alot of hot air in the position it is now.

Otherwise ya did a good job and I would leave it black....... shows less.

building the same thing in clear PVC might be pretty interesting- certainly unique. Only thing is, I think it'd end up looking either really cool, or really bad in clear- probably have to try it to find out.

Its wedged by the old airbox bracket and its very secure. How should I protect the a/c line?

Go to lowes or home depot or any hardware store for that matter, and pick up some of the insulation for water pipes. Should work good, trust me that tube will rub away at the line.(Iknow from exprience)

I looked and its not touching the a/c line. But I will add some insulation, just in case.
