lol...I feel your pain. I'm in my Junior year in HS. The funny thing is, a lot of people don't think I know what I'm talking about...but, being I've worked on cars (Chrysler products in particular ) since I could lift a wrench...I'm a little more informed than most...lol Also...being I own a Conquest, I pretty much know all there is to know about it. You have to if you want to drive it... But, then again, I have no life
But, yeah, as long as you can locate at least 40 of the 50 states when the names are given to you. My class this year, American History...I forgot to answer one, so, I got 1 wrong...the next best in the class was 31/50.

So...yes...I'm worried about future America. Makes me look smart though...haha. But, just know your not alone...being in HS on the forumz n all.

EDIT: gurr...I hate it when I start a whole new page...lol

That was good to hear my man. It means a lot to me.

I always feel like an outcast on the forumz, being in H.S. still as compared to ... Everybody else is graduated! And past college aswell! I just hope I can somewhat compare as far as knowledge about our trucks goes
Don't feel bad, man, enjoy it while you can. I always used to hate being the youngest in any crowd, yet always enjoyed the company of people older than myself. Now I find myself catching up with those around me, for most of my friends are around my age, and pretty soon, well, let's not go there, but dodgeman70592 has a great point. I used to feel like people practiced age discrimination against me, in reverse, just because I was young, I must be some sort of slacker or something. However, they soon came to realize that wasn't necessarily the case, but hang in there, it will really be worth the investment. After all, if you want your truck to last, you have to invest in it, same can be said of yourself and your mind!

If it helps I mowed yards for two years to save up $1200, bought my first car at 15, and then sold it a week before my 16th birthday, This process went on, well it is still going on. Dad messed up when he said I could have any vehicle I wanted as long as I paid for it. Bought and sold 11 vehicles before graduating high school.

My senior year I owned four rides, a 1980 280Z, a 1985 Dodge Ram, a 1964 F-100, and a 1981 F-100. Found a 1987 300 and put it in the 81 F-100 (was amazed at how many people told me that engine would never run) drove it for six months and sold it. 280Z I went through and replaced just about everything suspension-wise. Drove it for quite some time before selling. The 64 F-100 was a project over many years, straight six that was gone through, rebuilt my first carb, complete replacement of just about everything mechanically on that truck. The kicker was a oil pump that decided to go out one month before I went to college. Would still have that tank if it wasn't for that. And the 85 Ram was my first addiction to Dodge, and lets just say it was the second fastest truck in town when I got done with it. First was a 1968 Chevy with an aluminum block 350 from a Corvette, stroked to a 383. I used a stock bottom end 318.

Here's where the lecture begins, I went to college, got a job at an auto parts store, and didn't last one semester. Racing that Ram and thinking I could make a living in an auto parts store got planted in my head somehow. I recently looked up the average salary of someone who actually completed the courses I was taking. Wow, over twice what I am making now. Now I have no regrets in life, but I will always be the first to tell you that if the opportunity presents itself, do it.

Well, I can't say that I miss school myself. Did HS all over the world, then 3.5yrs of aerospace structural engineering before realizing that I was wasting my time and came back to alberta and got back into the oil patch as a safety officer. I'm not a desk jockey by any means, which is why I had to leave engineering... plus I hate computers... or is it the other way around?

My advice is finish high school and get a trade. university is nice, but especially in this day and age, it's not a guarantee you'll have a job when you're out. where as trades: everyone will always need electricians, welders, pipe fitters...etc or the whole world grinds to a halt cuz nothing actually gets built.

In the meantime, enjoy school, and burnout in the lot whenever you can as an up-yours to teachers that can't take the 'pressure' of working 9 months of the year with a paid vacation...

Weird...my High School has a partnership with Embry Riddle University, and, I'm taking aerospace engineering classes right now, in my high school, but, as an Embry Riddle student...lol

I'm the complete opposite though...I love computers....well...computers in general. Now Windows...I hate that.

I plan on LOTS of burnouts Lol. Last day of school last year I took the silver C6, was ripping it up, the security guard just watched in astonishment.
