Ya just never know what you'll learn here! Now I'll have to look when I get off work today. Too darn far to walk to the truck during lunch too look.

Default Wheel Liners

I have had a 2002 dodge ram and a 2005 dodge ram and they dont come with the rear wheel well liners. The liners are an added accesory. They come standard on 2009 Dodge Ram Laramie

Well like somebody else said, these forums are always good to learn something new. After asking the question last nite, today I checked out the wheel wells of all the trucks at work (oh no I didn't feel weird at all - lucky I'm not locked up with Deputy Fife watching me). I found this:
- Chevy trucks (all my previous trucks) all have the wells lined fore & aft
- Fords & Dodges rarely have the rears lined, fronts almost always
- SUVs based on the same trucks usually have both
- Foreign trucks are all over the place

So it looks like I'm off to the dealer next time in town to price rear well liners. I was really surprised to see so many trucks without them - is there any reason NOT to do this? Thanks for all the quick responses.

Yep, sure enough I checked mine and no wheel well liners. That's kinda surprising. Oh well, in the 70's and early 80's I was surprised by the sheer number of pickups sold without rear bumpers, so I guess in reality nothing should be shocking.

I thought the wheel wells looked unfinished without them, so I broke dowm and got some from the dealer. Payed $90 (Brother works at a dealership) for them. It looks so much cleaner than the 1/4 liners that were in there.
