Default Mirrors?

what should I do with my mirrors? as of now they are stock black unpainted plastic. I want something that will shine and is cheap any suggestions on how to get them this way?
P.S. they have some bad scratches from offroading

The mirror is ruff as hell so i think that if i were to paint them it would look terrible. Anyone have any experence with this before?

I think it would look different if you painted them body color . Yes you would have some sanding to do to make them smooth . Let us know what you decide . Tom

Sorry if it's not a Ram ... but just to give you an idea that's what I've done in my Caliber: I've bought the chrome mirror covers (I think it looks better than paint directly the mirror cause the covers are smooth) and had them painted in Stone White to match the color of the car , the body shop used the same paint they use or the bumpers so it should last more.

BTW Which color is your truck ?

well i started to sand today just to see how it would look. Next thing i know i made a phone call to an old friend and now we have spent most of the day working on my mirrors doing nothing but sanding, hopefully i will snap a few pictures before i go out tonight. If i do i will be sure to put them up
p.s. i know its sad but i dont know the name for the color of my truck lol

ah, looks great smoothed out. just remember to get the scratches at the base of the mirror too. And to give it a light buff with a scotchbrite pad if you're planning on painting them.
