Default All 2009 rams-recall notice

Hey everyone. I just called my dealer where i bought my 09 ram and there is a recall on all the followin:

1) Keyless remote entry (problem with the actual key)
2)mufflers (clogging up and restricting flow)
3)computer (needs to be reflashed. will give better power, stop shaking at idol, and if anyone is having problems with there fuel saver light not coming on it will fix it)
4) motor sensor (not sure which one)
5) fuel tank pressure sensor (will make your check engine light turn on)

this is all i know right now. best to call up your dealer and talk to the service dept. they should be able to tell you everything. im bringing mine in today.

Called my dealer (Pischke, La Crosse, WI) They had no info. I have owned two 2009 Ram Hemis in the last month. First one an OBAMA warranty issue, traded into another. The first one, MDS was active alot. Ram #2, MDS rarely shows, also doesn't have the power the first one had. Or the mileage. service Manager is checking into the issue. I have also had a couple situations where the keyless entry didn't work. Had to remove the key from the housing to get in. Later it worked.

yeah im having the same problems with the fuel saver light and the keyless remote. My dealer (advantage dodge in des plaines IL) said to bring in my keys and they would give me new keys cause there was a recall on them. They said at this point they are not recalls, but just things that need to be done. they think in another month or two they should turn into recalls. they have serviced 10 vehicles out of the 15 that they have sold so far. the computer needs to definetly be re flashed and they said that would help with the fuel saver mode, performance, and mileage. Hopefully this helps to everyone!

Keep us posted. My dealer has NO information yet, said he would call when they did. I can tell you forsure there is an issue with the MDS mode, as well as performance issues. My first 09 was a TOTALLY different vehicle than the one I have now. Performance, MDS Fuel Saver mode, and mileage on this one is 13.5 the other was 17.5. Averages

hey everyone, well i just got my truck back yesterday from the dealer. The work that was done was the track was greased up cause it was making a sqweeky noise, a body mount was regreased, the winshield washer fluid sensor was goofed with (not sure what they did with it, said the tank would leak and fill up the electrical sensor). They did not play with the computer at all even though my fuel saver light still does not work. they said give it some time cause they reset the computer and hopefully that should fix it. if no to come back in a week. thats everything so far. ill make sure to keep you all updated!

I don't think that's going to do it. I've had experience with two 09's and the one worked right out of the box. The other, hardly ever. You can reset your computer I believe by removing the negative battery cable for 30 minutes? I've tried that. Two hours. No better. Still sluggish, no MDS (and yes, it is enabled in the display setup). and bad mileage. Thought maybe it sounded too good to be true.....
