Default Best tire?

Hi everyone,

I'm getting a 2004 Dodge Ram 4X4 on Tuesday and I know I'll need some tires soon. I've been on tons of websites but I can't seem to find a straight answer on which is the best all season tire. I live in Canada so I need an all season tire that is good in the winter. All I do is highway driving and some city driving. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Default tires

I just had new tires mounted the other day. Good Year Silent Armor 305/70R-16. They are a kevlar construction. For summer, rain and snow they are rated a 10, quietness an 8. They feel great and no road noise. A very aggressive looking tire, and a very deep tread. A bit pricy about $250 depending where you get them from.
Take a look on the good year website.

Agreed. In my shop, the silent armours are a great tire, and most trucks that come in buy them....When my tires need to be replaced, im def getting them myself...

My work truck that sees every terrain known to man runs Toyo M-55s, and they are by far the best tire i've ever run, especially for an A/S tire. I'm all over Alberta and see some BAD winter conditions, but the guy that invented 'all-season' tires, obviously never grew up in canada.

If you see any serious weather, get a set of winter tires, the Blizzaks are best, but for a good A/S tire, IMHO the Toyo M-55s or A/Ts are tops. It costs more to do the 4 tire swap every year if you don't have a set of winter rims, but when it comes to winter driving, it's best to to mess around. IMHO of course.

Does anyone have Micheline LTX M/S? I see them all over the internet...pricey but they seem like they're obviously really good.
