Default 1/4 Mile times

I went to my local dragstrip friday night. State Capital Dragway in Erwinville, LA. I was a little surprised at my times. The 05 QC Hemi I traded in on my 09 CC Hemi was definately faster, but I did have 3.92's/anti-spin diff, CAI, Flowmaster, Superchips on it. My best time with it was 14.72 at 89mph--(with 400lbs of tools in the toolbox) in 50 degree weather.

Friday night it was 80 degrees with 80% humidity (which robs horsepower).
My bone stock 09 CC Hemi had a best time of 15.202 at 91.6mph. I'm spinning off the line a lot (3.55's without anti-spin) but have a little more mph on the big end. If I can keep from spinning I think at could run 15 flat if not 14.99.

So I guess its a little quicker than I thought it would be...But I'm still not impressed considering the horsepower this truck puts out. I can't wait until someone has a programmer available...torque management sucks-even with the spinning off the line, once you get rolling above 20mph, I can feel the power come on strong but not right off the line like it should be. I'm sure a programmer will remedy this. I've used Superchips programmers on 3 vehicles so far and I am very happy with the power gains.

I am now planning on adding a Richmond Gears Powertrax Limited Slip. I've used them in a jeep I had before and it works pretty good.

As soon as I have it installed, I'll run it again and give the results.

My best so far is a 15.31 at 89mph. I live in Phoenix and when I went it was 111 degrees... Not good weather at all... and i even have the RCSB with the 3.92s and LSD... i agree, torque management on the 09s is HORRIBLE!!!

Respectable times . Check and see if Diablosport has released their programmer yet for the '09's . I just checked and didn't see it yet .

those times sound pretty good to me... its not a small truck... with my cobalt i managed a 14.86... sure its 200 hp less and 200 ft.lb's less and front wheel drive with no traction atall... but its less then half the w8 of a ram i'm sure... so i gotta say those r some good #'s...

Superchips will have support for the '09 Ram models before much longer. The Flashpaq model 3865 is the one to get. It does everything the 3815 does and more. The 3865 is newer technology and is small enough to fit in a Cobra radio belt clip. That's what I'm using to mount the 3865 in the cab. When the beta testing is complete it will have transmission tuning options and the ability to remove however much of the torque management you care to...including 100% of it. I'm a beta tester for the '04-'05 models, but our portion of the testing hasn't begun yet. The guys I've seen posting about their testing say it is absolutely unreal the difference the tranny tuning makes. All this will be only for the 3865 Flashpaq and I think the Cortex. The 3815 Flashpaq will not have this capability.

I know that hypertech has a programer for the 09 rams, and JET Performance Products has a power control module.
