Default Impressed with Ram towing

I towed the toy trailer this weekend, 4000 plus pounds. It handled well, plenty of grunt compared to the 4.3L. nice ride with the trailer on it.
The only thing I noticed it the front end was still light while steering.
was getting like 11.6mpg with the trip monitor system

Should try installing equalizer bars would transfer some of the weight up front!

Agree with the weight equalizer hitch and maybe a sway control . I tow a 22' Haulmark enclosed trailer ,about 7500# total between trailer, race car and tools, parts ,etc. and an equalizer hitch is necessary to level out the trailer to the truck . You still need tongue weight to maintain rear wheel traction but leveling the truck will restore front end stability . If your experiencing any tail wagging of the trailer an equalizer hitch is the place to start but if it still persist you may also want to add a sway control also to your hitch set-up .

The trailer pulls straight and no signs of sway. the truck drops only 3.5 inches with the trailer on it.

To many toys to be honest.... hard to store all the stuff. I would like to unload the Vmax 700 and the skidoo 583..... they are fun to ride but they eat gas like its nothing... the 583 gets 10 to 11 mpg the Vman 700 gets 12 to 13 mpg if your light on the throttle. This year it was a busy year for us...only rode the bike once and the wheelers at the mx track when working the race. next year better be better with the fun time for us....
