Default Delay in engine start

When my 01 ram 5.9 sets overnight or for a couple days it takes a few cranks of the engine before starting, it used to start as soon as I turn the key. This just started I hope the fuel pump isn't getting weak would like to get this solved before winter. I don't care for the Dealer in my town it's all trial & error with those people.

Could be fuel pump , or just about anything else too . Would recommend taking it to a reputable independent garage who will take their time into diagnosing it correctly . There are so many things that need to be checked .

Could be the fuel pump...but it could be the starter(motor), battery(low charge, loose or corroded connections), alternator(not charging battery causing it to be low on power), bad plugs and/or wires(not creating spark), like tom said, take it to a shop where you have faith that they will help you....

If you suspect its fuel...got to Auto zone or advance auto and sign out a pressue gage and ask for specs.
