Talking 2WD Lift?

Hello, just wanted to get a few ideas on a 2/4 lift for a 2wd 4.7L 2004 Ram. I was in need of a truck a few years ago and couldn't afford a 4wd, now I was wondering if any of you out there have or know someone with a 2wd that has a lift. I have 20" factory wheels and was goig to change to a 18" wheel with a 35 inch tire. Thanks for your help.

if your looking to just level out the front you can go with a daystar 2" inch leveling kit. or CST makes 4" lift spindles for $700 i think. both say will fit 33" tires but with little trimming and the right backspacing on the rims 35" will clear.

I am going to be buying a 3" lift kit for my 2wd ram. I don't go muddin or anything but I love the aggressive look of the lifted rams. I'm buying this kit http://performancelifts.com/cgi-bin/cart/PER60123.html
Man I would LOVE to take those stock 20" rims off your hands. If you plan on selling them with or without tires send me a message, I really want some. I got 17's on BFG Mud Terrains and am buying a new set of tires in January. Would really like to have the 20's. Hope all goes well with the lift kit.

I think a moderator should move this to the LIFTING section. But anyway...

I myself have a 2wd 06 dodge ram slt with the 4.7l.

Love the truck; does everything I want it too. I want to lift it too tho. I dont really go offroading a whole lot but I really like the look of the dodges lifted. I really have my eye on the 6in Fabtech lift.

I was only a member for a few days when I started this thread, then after looking more into it I found the lifting and lowering section, guess I should've paid more attention. I am still unsure about the lift or lowering, seems to be about the same price for either one. I have been reading and I think to fit the 35" tires that I want I will have to go with a 4/2 lift, I am deployed right now and will not be home for a few months and was just geting some ideas from others on here. Either way I will be getting rid of the factory 20" wheels at some point.

I'm going to put that 3" body lift all the way around and I may get the torsion bar key and lift it up 3 more inches in the front so in reality it will be a 6/3 lift. A 3" in the front is perfectly level so I will be pretty happy. If you're looking to get rid of those rims send me a PM, I'd be happy to take them off your hands. Where are you deployed and what branch? Good luck bro.

Hey there,

Well thats sweet that there are alot more members out there than I thought that are lifting there 2WD RAMs

I myself have the same reasons as the rest of you for lifting my 2WD. I dont offroad but love the look and just want to stick some nice beefy tires under it. I have to replace my tires anyways so why not go big or go home right.
A lifted Ram is going to look killer no matter if its 2x4 or 4x4 and no mod is a bad mod if its the one you personally enjoy. Thats whats nice about customization, its completely based on personal choice!!

Im installing a FABTECH 3.5" spindle kit with 33" tires. Im buying an aftermarket 16" rim simply because my stock 16"s dont have proper backspacing to allow the 33"s to clear on my 2nd gen.

Fabtech makes all kinds of 2WD kits so if anyone is looking hit up this link.

Good luck and remember to post your process with pics

(I will be once my friggin parts come in !!)
