Question K&N for 4.7 and 5.7

What's the difference between a K&N for the Hemi and the 4.7?
I have found a couple of them for sale on craigslist, but they are for the 5.7.
Will it work on my 4.7???

Thanks

Beware on eBay, I wouldn't touch those filters with a 10 foot pole. I'd buy a quality filter and just use the intake pipe and heatshield that comes with the eBay kits.

I didn't buy an "ebay special" I got the K&N CAI Part Number: 63-1529. There is a place that is selling it for $320 or best offer, if you put in an offer of $270 they will accept it. That is the lowest they will go. They shipped quick and I had it within 5 days

Ok, that's good. I just wanted to make sure you weren't talking about those eBay cheapo filters. K&N is a good quality filter i've used before.

I've used a K&N drop-in for years in the stock box, but I really wanted to let the market for AM intakes mature before I jumped on anything. BFI has some really promising designs and no offense to K&N, I have one of their filters or cones on 6 vehicles, but I would go to someone like the BFI or similar for an intake. Just my personal preference, K&N makes nice stuff but they're first a filter company, second an intake company. I also like to support the small builders who support specific vehicles vs. everything out there.

Just my 2 cents

Well the BFI has a distinct advantage because they have built a specific setup for this specific engine. So naturally it's going to be better. Whereas K&N is a bigger company and will see the most revenue by building setups that would fit to the most amount of vehicles they can to sell more. I agree, if you can get a BFI intake system.

All i did was purchased a K$N CAI filter and made my own tube. Cost alot less and dont see a difference, except the wallet. Filter was $65 Napa. Just a suggestion.
