Default Tire pressure sensor

Well the tire pressure light just came on in my 08. I checked and everything seems to be fine with them. We did just get blast of cold air. Do you think this would cause the light to go off. Or any recommendations would be appreciated before I have to take it to the dealer.

Thanks, Bill

BTW the tires are filled with nitrogen and still the stock tires from the factory are on the truck.

If you checked them and they have the right amount of pressure, then yeah, it was probably just the cold. The light will probably go off once you drive around a bit to warm up the air in the tires.

No, the cold should not have any type of affect on the TPMS system, is does not measure the temp of air inside the tire...It measures the psi inside the tire...Your light is either caused by the tire pressure itself being over or under inflated, or one of your sensors are malfunctioning(in this case will blink)...however, the cold temp does have an affect on your tires PSI which will drop from 1-3 psi approximately...
