But some of us have aspirations of smoking all 4 tires on a lowered truck...or it could just be me.

I'd recommend a 2/4 drop to level it out too if you can find a kit. I checked out groundforce and all they have for that year is rear shackles

You could try a shop that specializes in drops and see if they can come up with a custom set up, but it's be expensive. Plus they'd probably try and sell you on laying rocker or frame...and that's just WAY too low for a 4x4.

Sadly, McGaughty's doesn't make a kit for the 4WD. I say sadly cuz they're a great kit, but everything they make for Dodge's is for 2WDs and nothing for older than '02.

Looked around some more, and Belltech's is only rear shackles, but I did find DJMs kit, but it doesn't specify a drive type, you'd have t contact them.

we just lowered a 4 wheel drive f150 and we did a 2/4. I spoke to DJM suspension and they said that the lowering is in the torsion keys for the front. Torsion keys will not stress the front axles and if u have the right tools to decompress the springs then its a piece of cake. The rear is the easiest and cheapest. DJM said that if u could either buy a flip kit or use the stock parts if u can get teh old ubolts to fit. That right there is a lil under 4". The flip kit u buy from them is longer u bolts and a c notch to the frame for 160 so do the math!! Hope that helps

All the flip kit consist of is like i said bigger u bolts and new bump stops. The new ubolts are the same type of bolts that r currently there just longer to accomodate any difference on length. Depending on how low u go u may need to cut a c-notch in the frame. the company gives u bolt on notches so u dont have to weld flat stock to the cut box frame the notches are bolt ons but if the truck is high enough u should be able to flip it with just what u have stock. All ur doin is putting the axle above the leaf spring

Anyone can do it with the correct equipment and a couple extra sets of hands. I know a couple shops that will charge 85 an hour labor and tell u its a 2 day job. We dropped the back in about 2 hrs. Air compressers are ur best friend in this industry!!!!
