Default Tranny problem solved? (Warning)

I just got my truck back from the shop where the tranny was being rebuilt. I noticed that a lot of other people were having the same exact problems as me. When they went to do the coolant flush the one way valve inside the radiator coolant hose was coroded shut. They believe that is the reason that the tranny went so badly all at once, and said that the overheating explained all of my problems. I was just wanting to warn anyone with the 46RE or 47RE transmission that if you are experiencing any problems like that and have a couple hours free time, you might want to drain the coolant and check the one way check valve i believe they called it that is inside there to make sure that it is opening correctly.

If it's what I think , it's in the trans cooler line , by the radiator. It's a spring loaded check valve . I took that section of hose off from the trans line and removed that valve and spring .

Horrible way to address drainback issues. Remove it and put a proper valvebody kit in. It'll solve the drainback issues and extend the life of the transmission.
