I use 87 octane

FUEL REQUIREMENTS
All engines (except 5.7L engines) are designed
to meet all emissions regulations
and provide excellent fuel economy and
performance when using high-quality unleaded
“regular” gasoline having an octane
rating of 87. The use of premium
gasoline is not recommended. Under normal
conditions, the use of premium gasoline will not
provide a benefit over high-quality regular gasolines, and
in some circumstances may result in poorer performance.

The 5.7L engine is designed to meet all
emissions regulations and provide satisfactory
fuel economy and performance when
using high-quality unleaded gasoline having
an octane range of 87 to 89.
The manufacturer
recommends the use of 89 octanefor optimum performance
. The use of premium gasoline
is not recommended. Under normal conditions, the use of
premium gasoline will not provide a benefit over highquality
regular and mid-grade gasolines, and in some
circumstances may result in poorer performance.
Light spark knock at low engine speeds is not harmful to
your engine. However, continued heavy spark knock at
high speeds can cause damage and immediate service is
required.
Poor quality gasoline can cause problems such as hard
starting, stalling and hesitations. If you experience these
symptoms, try another brand of “regular” gasoline before
considering service for the vehicle.

I use 89 octane on my ’04 Hemi- mods are Programmer, Exhaust and CAI and have no negative performance problems such as ignition knock, hard starting, stalling or hesitations

Default gas

I use 87 in my 2003 hemi. Tried mid grade never seen any difference in performance or gas mileage so sticking with the 87. Dodge rules

so pretty much, unless your truck is modified with a tuner, or chip, dont use 93+ octane...use 87-89 only...

I have tried all three of my local choices of fuel (as far as octanes 87, 89, 91) Since i have added my Edge Tuner i have it set on economy mode which states that it is acceptable to run 87 but in my own trials of different grades i have found the 91 to work the best with my truck. MPG City = 17+- Highway 21 +- My old truck could not even come close to this. Plus with the tuner i can set it to performance and just roast the tires away. I LOVE THE NEW POWER!
