I am having problems with my ITBC working correctly. I do not seem to have any "OUTPUT" to the trailer brakes while braking @ highway speeds. I know the controller is Proportional & stopping force is measured by the "G" sensor in the controller. Because I have NO "OUTPUT" on the readout, other then "O", I am wondering if the controller is faulty.Dealer in Dade City can find nothing wrong. If I use the manual leaver I can get full brakes on my trailer. If I use the brake pedal on the truck I only get "O" Output until I am almost @ a stop. Then, if I leave my foot on the brake pedal for 6 seconds, the reading will go too 1, then slowly climb to 2, & 3, where it stops increasing. By this time I am stopped. Because this controller reads the vehicle decell during the stop. through the "G" sensor, I think I may have a faulty controller because of the "O" readings on highway stops or slowdowns. Hope someone can point me in the right direction as it appears the dealers I am in contact with, & Chrysler do not know anything about addressing this concern. Anyone else experience this condition?
Thanks in advance for your help & input.

Take a look at the connectors on the back of the controller. Unplug them. Take a look at the plug and make sure nothing is bent. Plug them in again. Make sure you plug them in securely and that both connectors snap in.

Please let us know how you make out.

I just picked mine up from the dealer last night, part number is still 56029431AG. If your local dealer wont sell it to you, then try another dealer. The problem that comes up the most is if they put your vin into the system, they will likely get a restricted message back on the screen. Try it without the vin, if still no luck, order it online.
Gray bezel part number is : 1EB13XDVAA

My dealer says that he checked with the Chrysler Area Rep who indicated that there is no ability to update the sales code to the VIN and if the sales code cannot be updated to show the TBC then the system cannot be flashed.

They insist that there are issues with TBC and because it is brakes they wont even talk about it. Very frustrating. The kit is supposed to be available in Feb but no guarantee.

Anyone know of any RAM dealers in Toronto Canada that will sell a TCB and know how to flash the system?

thx

So is the dealer saying they have no access to Dealer connect? This is interesting, but the brake controller will work without the flash. The only thing the flash does is add it to the EVIC.

Update On Integrated Trailer Brake Controller on my Truck:
Received a phone call from an engineer involved in the manufacture of the Brake Controller. He had me do some basic checks & determined my Controller is working as designed. However, this Controller was NOT designed to be used with a trailer of my size. (16,500 lb 5th Wheel) Looks like he will be getting back to me with a different program in the Controller.
I am not at liberty to tell everyone anymore about this issue but will do so as soon as I am able to release the information I have being privy too.

Was your controller factory installed? Please keep us informed on your progress.

This is even more interesting. I never knew that trailer brake controllers have weight limits. I know they are made specific for a number of axles, but never knew weight was an issue..hmmm...keep us updated.
