My dealer told me the kit should be available late January. I wont have time to go down there till next week but I was wondering if anyone had heard if the kit was released or delayed(again)?

Did you check under the dash to see if you have 2 plugs or 1? If you have 2, you dont need a "kit"

I didnt check. The dealership owes me the controller installed it was part of our sales agreement and they wont do it till the kit or whatever is released. They showed me the memo stating there were occasional problems installing the other way and to wait for the kit so ill wait.

Occasional problems...hmmm..I would guess 2 to 4 million trucks sold...I wonder how many make occasional. Anyway, good luck with your install. Since the kit was supposed to be available last fall, whats another couple of months wait right?

For what its worth, no one on here has reported problems after installing the OEM controller on a truck that didn't have it. Mine didn't have it installed either, I got the part numbers and the EVIC code, went to the sales manager where I bought the truck...he ordered the parts through the parts department and within two weeks I installed the parts and had it flashed for the EVIC display. I have to tow and simply couldn't wait for a supposed "kit" to be made available. You will read more success stories on here than failures.

So I went to the stealership yesterday and through some calls there is now a part number and the kit should be sent to the mopar fellas in the next few weeks and then they can order my kit. We will see if this all pans out.

Anybody want to bet on what the "kit" will consist of?

My bet is the controller, the proper colored faceplate and maybe the two screws. I would further bet that if you have the two plugs, you can install it. I doubt they will have a way to retrofit the controller in to the single plug vehicles.

So I've tried the part numbers found within this thread on the mopar wholesale site and get nothing. I've also tried keyword searches too with no luck. Any help on the numbers or keywords you used?

Thanks!
