What year truck, what style, and how is the intake set-up?

You may be better off making your own.

I know this is my Dakota and you have a Ram, but my buddies 98 Ram 5.2 has an engine setup like this with the plastic plenum. Does yours have this airhat/plenum on top of the engine?

I see. You have the 5-1/4 carb style TB though, which will require a round (14"?) filter element, or a plenum which can get awefully expensive from what I can think of. If you can get a used CAI, or get the component to attach it to the TB for cheap, then you can make your own.

So you have this one?

If so you can just get the air hat off the Dakota/Durango like LeadfootLuke has. Then you can go to this DIY for the cold air intake.

That's the picture I was looking for!

That plenum/Air-hat is quiet lacking in the flowing department though. It is open, but there are better designed plenum's that equalize airflow better into the 2-barrels of the TB. That will probably be your best bet though

I read somewhere that you can use ones of a caddy too, but I don't know what they look like, if they are better or not.
