Default Audio Upgrade

So right now i have a Infinity system when i bought the vehicle.
I like the 3 tweeters on the dash, but really want to upgrade the other speakers, seems like i get little midrange and NO bass.

I think im gonna go with everything Polk audio, my buddy has them in his Grand Prix and they sound really good so i think ill prob get those all around for the two front doors and 2 rear doors.

I really want some subs eventually but don't have enough money to get the 2
JL Audio 13TW5-3's and build a custom box that I want so i figure i would wait on those

Wondering any other suggestions on Subs that would fit under the seat of Quad Cab

Wondering what you guys think and any suggestions.

Kinda on a tight budget but am a huge fan of good audio.
Listen to alot of old school Rap, Rock, and pretty much anything too so i would like something well rounded with good bass!~!

Those JL subs you want to use are not worth the money at all. You wont really need a set of components in the rear doors either. Remembrance the amount of speakers you have just creates more volume not quality. Set up a nice front stage as if you were in a concert hall not from the rear.

How about a 12" firing down under the center console up front? Along with some 6.5" midbass in the front doors. That would give you nice kick for old school rap, and bring some of the bass guitar to life in your rock music.

hmmm how much work would the 12" in the mid console be?? i really want to keep my truck pretty stock on the interior and not do mods.
ALso?? with the stock 6 disc changer head unit, will i be able to acheive good quality sound or would that be a suggestion to upgrade as well.

I know when i've put in other HUs it seems to make the quality alot better and able to mess with the equalizers but i like the 6 disc changer option and how it looks in the dash.

It's a debate that has been going on for quite some time. I am keeping the stocker because the hassle of getting a new bezel or modifying the one that is in there is just not worth it yet. There was an article I read comparing the stock units to aftermarket ones, and they actually had more power, better signal to the speakers, and played a greater frequency range than a decent aftermarket unit. But you don't get all the cool options like with a Pioneer or Kenwood or Alpine or whatever.

The price of a 12" in the console is completely up to you. Reason I say that is some people prefer certain brands. I wouldn't recommend one that requires much over 1 cu.ft. of space, as that is about the biggest size box that will fit there while maintaining a stock appearance. If you aren't going to see it, I see no reason why a Dayton from Parts Express wouldn't work.

You should check out the Power Series from JBL too. They pack quite a punch for a pretty low price.

is there an install set up for the 12" firing down under the center console up front??

For some reason i just can't picture it, as well as, How much Work would it be to do this. Like installing it ??? would you have to Mod the center console underneath?? just can't picture it i guess

I'm a huge bias for JL audio because thats all i ever have had and no complaints, but price is definately an issue(lol).
