Default Wind noise

Ok, so after finally getting my truck back from the last fubar, I was driving down the highway around 75 with a slight headwind and I hear this wind noise coming in the passenger side compartment. It got louder the faster I drove. So does anyone have a clue of where it could be coming from?? PLan on taking it to the dealership, however dont think they will beable to reproduce it.

I have a wind noise problem in my '07. The doors don't quite seal on the top driverside against the wind. I have no water leaks, but I get lots of noise when I'm driving with a headwind. If I pull on the door then it goes away. Maybe see if the dealer is able to get a wider door seal.

Maybe you'll have to take the service writer for a ride and let him hear it . Alot of times that's what needs to happen so it don't get written off as no trouble found . How did you make out with your headliner getting wet ? Did they replace the headliner ?

I never did get my headliner replaced, since there was no physical damage to it, go figure.

I have had a radio antenna "whistle" like a wind noise if it is a smooth shaft. Tie it back with string and try.

Also, Take a look under the passenger seat.

See the bolt that holds the Jack down?

Look around and I found another threaded Hole that went right thru to open air.

I put a bolt in it to plug the hole. It's a metric bolt.

To check your weather stripping on your door get some paper and cut into strips about 1 1/2" to 2" wide and close a strip in your door, extending out so you can grab it.

Now see if you can pull it out.

Keep moving the strip around your door and checking to see if you can pull it out.

If you can pull the strip out at any place, That spot is a good candidate for an air leak at speed.

The door may be adjusted to increase pressure on the weather strip.
Or the weather strip can be beefed up in that area to help seal the door.

Good Luck

Mohawk
