Default Cleaning TB?

Anybody remove their throttle body to clean it? Was it pretty straight forward, and did you just buy a new gasket for re-installing it? I cleaned it a few weeks ago with it still attached but I think im wanting to do the full monty on that sucker. 2004 5.7 Hemi

They come off pretty easy, disconnect the wiring, then 4 bolts, and voila! reinstalling is easy, new gasket and make sure you torque it to spec. You shold be able to clean it properly without removing it, but if that what you want to do, then have at 'er.

I should? I feel like I couldnt really get behind the butterfly valve very well. I know I got a good bit clean but behind the valve is still pretty gunked up with carbon. It shouldnt make too much difference as long as the flap is clean, right? So im just being anal, but I hate doing a half ass job like that. And I wasnt too sure how much of the TB cleaner I could spray in before too much leaked down into the intake manifold and choked something up, so I tied to spray pretty spairingly.

Would this be similar to a fuel induction service? Or seafoam? Or this is its own cleaning animal all together?
