Don't reuse your headbolts . P&P could start at a mild clean up of a couple hundred to thousand dollars if you were all cammed up , lot of compression etc... If you can swing it maybe just a clean up and a little bowl work .

As far as I can tell it was a head gasket failure along with a poor intake gasket and a blown plenum gasket. The blown plenum causing me to burn oil then with my engine being hot because of no oil the head gaskets decided to blow. Somewhere in there the intake gaskets also deteriorated.

Are there any good guides on rebuilding/cleaning heads? I'd like to send them out to be done, but really they dont NEED to be ported or polished.

You should have them checked for cracks and see if their straight . May need to be milled flat .

Or should I just have them determine if it's warped/cracked or not and then be on my way and have my dad hot tank them?
