Well, after spending hours and hours here while at home recovering from the flu, here's the engine option I am leaning towards. I'm investigating/researching some other builders but everyone I've talked to about this guy has been super positive and he comes highly recommended.
My reasons are simple for this approach...it bolts right in, with the right cam and head porting I'm at 400+ HP and I'm still emissions legal, all sensors and emissions controls plug in, I can use my stock fuel injection with a pump upgrade and larger injectors and I can get a custom computer flash from someone I've done business with before back in my ImpalaSS days so there's no CEL issues.
It's a 408 stroker, based on the Magnum engine block, forged internals, steel EQ ported heads and a few other goodies. I'll have to decide on whether or not to use the stock intake manifold or go with an aluminum one + what headers to use (JBA's are CARB certified!) plus a few other small details to work out.
Here's a few pics:
What ya think???
