Default Box Side Replacement

This is a Dodge Ram that we just replaced the box side on. It sucks to see such a new truck need this type of repair but we were able to make it like new again:

This is the damage shown after the skin was removed. It was hit in the rear at the bottom and was left a while (hence the rust).

After it was removed we it was bonded on along the front top and wheel well and welded along the back.

After Paint it looked something like this:

It is currently still being installed back on the truck so I don't have the final pics.

Nice work! Bummer to see a new rig get busted up like that but it looks like new again!

Sorry, but I've edited your post and user profile. Please don't put non-supporting vendor links in your posts or your signature. It's just the rulz of the house.

Thanks.

I have some friends who are bodyman . They turn out some beautiful work . I wouldn't let anyone other than them do my cars . It's really cool to see them at work and how easy they make it look .

Thanks, ya I feel bad for the guy. We had another ram a little while back that got keyed end to end (pissed of ex girlfreind), that one sucked to. Our shop does work for a few Chrysler dealers so we see quite a bit of these trucks.

No problem about the link. It was to non-profit site (just google ads to cover the server). I just thought the write-up of this repair may have been of value to the viewers here.

Also Tom, glad to hear you have a good shop. There are so many hack garages out there. Many people get burned a few times before finding the right place.

I worked at a body shop . Saw some really poor work . Unibodys not pulled correctly on the Chief . Unnecessary piles of shims . Hard to trust anyone . Find a good one , best to stick with them .
