Default Interior squeaking? Really annoying.

There is a squeaking sound coming from either the passenger seat or the middle seat or somewhere in the dashboard. It is really annoying and loud. I have tried spraying lubricant in some spots but hasn't made it better. I think the passenger seat is causing it from moving back and forth from the vibrations while driving. Any ideas how to make the sound stop?

What year is your truck? My 2008 has this issue... I had it gone, but it is back, and worse than ever!

That did work, but now with 8" speakers in the front doors, turning it up causes more rattles!!!

You sure its INSIDE the truck and not the urethane bushings under the truck, Dodge Rams are notorious for that

Man, squeaks and rattles are the most annoying and hard to fix items out there. I found that my dash defroster panel was rattling and squeaking but it took me forever to find the problem and fix it.

It was more prevalent when it got colder. What I found was some plastic clips on the underside of plastic panel that hooked into some metal studs below them. When it got cold, the metal shrank just enough to create a gap. So I put some electrical tape over the studs, pressed down the panel & clips over them and it worked fine.

Biggest deal is trying to isolate the noise. Hard to do because you have to be in motion. I ended up enlisting my wife's help to listen and put her hands on certain pieces of trim until the noise went away.

Squeaks can be two pieces of plastic trim rubbing together where they join. I've had to get out my razor knife and dremel tool to remove some material in those areas. And I followed the same process with getting some help locating the squeaks as I drove.

So good luck with your rattle and squeak hunt!
