Default DD and upgrades

So like alot of people I've gotten the moding bug and want to upgrade EVERYTHING!!!!! my truck is a Dailey driver (I've only had my truck about 45 days and all ready have 7500 miles already)
I want to start upgrading performance, I know it won't happen over night but I want to start doing my research now so I know what I'm getting into ahead of time (I don't want mess up anything to bad )
My questions are, what is taking it too far ? what is risking reliability as far as the engine goes ? what is just over doing it ? And should I add something or not do something?
I'm new to all of this so I don't know anything
My plans are all bolt ons sofar
E-fan, vararam intake, 87mm throttle body, catch can, 180 thermostat, 3.92 or 4.10 rear end and a diablo tune (also willing to add more if it's reliable)
I only have an exhaust cutout sofar
I want to go all out with headers and a cam ( who dosent like the sound of a big cam ) but I think that's over doing it
I'm trying to keep in mind that I put alot of miles on my truck
My other question is I know the tune is what will tie everything In but what should I do 1st to last as this build will be happen over time and not all at once
Thanks for reading and thanks for replaying any and all input, suggestions, and replays are always welcome

I would do either gears, torque converter, or headers first. Take your pick....
Volant PowerCore CAI, efan, 180 tstat, Pacesetter Lt's, Pacesetter y pipe, Hemifever 93 tune, 87mm throttle body, 4.56 Yukon posi.
Coming soon....Torque converter and drop

You live in Calif so most of the stuff you want is probably illegal.
