could be the bulb, fuse, or wiring? Probably not the fuse tho beacause its linked to your regular brake lights. pop the cover off and see if the elements in the bulb are broken

i checked the bulb its good also when i step on the brake there is about a 5 to ten second delay before the lights come on so if i have the cruise on same delay before it shuts off

does it say lamp out on the binnacle, ive replaced brake switches for complaints of brake lights not working or not turning off. Its above the brake pedal behind and under your steering column, you twist it to the left about 90 degrees and it pulls out of its bracket. remove it leave it connected and push it with your fingers and have someone stand behind your truck to tell you if the brake lights are working. If it ever skips or gets stuck, replace it.

Do the lights light up slowly or just a 5-10 second delay ?
