Default Fan off.....Air still comes thru all vents

I have an 05 Ram 1500 truck that has a small amount of air coming thru all the vents with the Fan turned off. It doesn't matter where the air is switched to. It can be defrost, dash vents, or floor vent........I can still feel air coming thru. It is more noticed at highway speeds. Is there something not closing off? This just occured recently and has never been a problem before.

Check and see if you are taking air in from the outside still or do you have it on recirculate . See what that does and let us know how you make out . Tom

I've heard several people complain about problems with the blend door mechanism in our HVAC system. Here is a web site that seems to have a solution.

Took the truck to a mechanic's shop that I sometimes use. He's mainly a Mopar & Dodge repair guy, but works on all trucks and cars. Told him what it was doing and the first thing he said was "it's the Blend Door". We went for a ride in the truck to let him check it out. He said mine was very minor compared to what others he had fixed. Told me if it was his truck, he would live with it until it got worse. The amount of air coming thru will barely make a sheet of toilet paper flutter when its placed next to a Dash vent.
If the airflow never increases.......I can live with it.

Yup, it's the blend door. See quite a few of them stick open on all makes and models of vehicles.

Eventually that door will stick wide open and you'll want to do something about it.
