Default 2001 Ram with no heat

I have a 2001 dodge ram with no heat. The thermostat has been replaced we have cardboard blocking part of the radiator and still very little heat. It takes a long time for the truck to heat up stays on 130 for a long time.

Great to have ya here . Any pictures of it ? Any plan on modifications ? Does the heater hoses get warm to the touch ? Where does the temperature guage read ? Could be a clogged heater core . Let us know and well see what we can do to get you straightened out . Any of your friends have Rams ? Tell them about us . We would love to have them . You will find this site is full of a lot of talented people . So if theres any question that you need answered , just shoot away . Talk to ya soon . Tom

Welcome to RamForumZ!!! Interesting dilemma you have. Sounds like thermostat is stuck open, but it's already been replaced... wonder if it's an issue with the coolant temperature sensor.

If your hoses and radiator get hot, and coolant is flowing, I'd suspect that your heater core is plugged or your air flow diverter valve in the underdash HVAC distribution box is stuck.

Just noticed you don't have a motor listed . What are you running ? Wouldn't be a diesel by chance would it . You did say that you have replaced the thermostat already and the temperature guage barely moves ?
