Can't wait to see the results. I just bought a PC 7424 and used it a few weeks ago on my Ram. I have always used a Sears waxer/polisher and the 7424 was miles ahead of it. If you have any questions let me know.

Alright. I know the XP is much stronger than the older 7424. I am starting with 4" pads, but I know the XP can adequately spin 5" and 6" pads. What pad selection did you use?

That's looks like it should last for a little while.

Take a lot of step by step pics. I'd like to see the progress between each step, some before and afters.

Tonight was test night. Got all of the materials in today and figured I should acclimate myself to the tools. I offered to wash my parents van and buff the hood

The Van is gold and inside the garage no pictures came out good. Doesn't matter though, I learned how easy the machine is to use

I did an 18" by 18" section on my trucks hood. Just to test
Cleaned it, clayed it, taped it, buffed it!
1 pass of M105 on a Lake Country Cyan Pad followed by 1 pass of M205 on a Lake Country Tangerine Pad. Added a quick coat of Collinite 476S wax that was left over on my applicator pad.

There will be more step by step pictures when I actually do the whole truck. Again, this was a small test spot.

These are not the exact same spot, but very close. You can see how it was before and after though.

And after

Here is a video of the beading. Okay, maybe not beading as the water doesn't even stay on the hood!
