My parents got home and I'm like "hey dad, check this out." His response "cough, magnum, cough" Looks like I get to tackle that beast at some point. I won't be able to get everything, but this is my first try, so I will get whatever I can cleared up.

Sorry I didn't get back sooner. The pads I have for my 7424XP are 7.5". I got them in a kit from adamspolishes.com. I took a quick look at your results, you are on the right track. I think tomorrow I am going to tackle the wife's ride.

Did the roof of my truck today. Looks like I will be doing section by section until I find more time to do more at once.

Step 1 - Wash
Step 2 - Dry - Look at all the pretty swirls.

Step 3 - Clay

Step 4 - Tape it up

Step 5 - Kevin Brown Methods of applying M105 to a LC HT Cyan Pad

Step 6 - Work in the M105

Remove left over polish after it turns translucent. You can see left [untouched] vs right [M105 once]

Paint looking better..

Step 7 - M205 on a LC HT Tangerine pad
50/50

Better 50/50 with paint removed.

Finished the other half of the hood, then retaped for product testing

Step 8 - LSP. I chose the 4 I had
We will see which quarter lasts the longest

Still working on it guys. The weather has dipped into the 40's during the day and I would rather not work under those conditions. It will be warmer in the next week, and I do have a heated garage I can use too. I got 2 more pads for finishing and 2 for Jeweling/LSP application.

Looks good! I can see the difference, I think the pic is a little blurry but I can still see it.

Here is a better before and after. I used my flashlight [yeah the lens has seen its share of duty]

These are taken under the exact same lighting and camera settings. This shot was taken on the half of the panel that was untouched.

This shot is from the side of the panel that was corrected.

The wavy look is the light from the flashlight. I was trying to catch the reflection of the flashlight, not the light itself.

What's your opinion on the waxes? Is it too early to pick a favorite? Great way to do your own independent test. Looks great.

That really does look great, nice job! You definitely put some work into that, but well worth it, and like tjcin said, good experiment. I would like to know also which one holds up longest.
