Default I really hate to say this....

I finally found something I dislike about my 2009 Ram Crew Cab Sport.
Appearance and styling are off the hook with the new Ram but the boys at Dodge could have done a much better job at designing the sun shades.
I really didn't notice it until just recently (probably because the sun is where it is this time of the year and because of the time change).

When I'm driving west at about 4pm every day the sun is now in a spot in the sky that makes the sun shade totally useless. I have found myself leaning back all this week and shielding my eyes with the A-pillar because the sun shade is too short on the left side. Lame, lame, lame.

I know, I know the sun won’t be at that angle forever or I could wear my sunglasses a little longer in the day but it just bugs me that the sun shade couldn’t have been made a little longer on the outer edge to make this a non-issue for Ram owners.

Sorry for the rant, I'm calling the tint guy tomorrow….

Not good . Have you considered putting a visor extender on for the time being . http://www.easycomforts.com/EasyComf...:referralID=NA

OK Tom, that thing is about as fugly as anything I've ever seen hanging on a visor.

I'm a little jealous my wifes Lexus. It has 2 sets of sun shades on each side for the driver and passenger. The first one drops down as well as swings over to the door window. It also has built in extenders. The second sun shade swings down for the front window when you have the first one moved over towards the door window. Very thoughtful and functional in design.
Just 2 inches Dodge, just 2 inches......

That seems pretty bad. I know the '07 still has a gap but not that bad. My F-350 is horrible, they may not be there at all for all the good they do.

The visor slides back and forth on its rod for that very reason.....it comes out farther than most I have seen, try it.

Very well aware that it slides on the rod, however it doesn't slide far enough to the left (as in the pictures) to fill the gap shown by the arrows.
The slide feature is there to extend the shade for the length of the door windows.

The gap on the upper part of the shade is worse than the first picture shows if the shade down all the way (the pic shows it tilted forward quite a bit).
If you put it down all the way you would have to crouch down to see the road...

Talked to the tint guy today. A six inch strip of 20% film across the top of the windshield should do the trick. $25 installed.
