Default Are you smarter than a 11th grader?

WELL I FOR ONE AM STUPID BECAUSE I PUT 10th GRADE AND I AM IN 11TH LOL

If you want to try this, do not look at the 2nd post as I will post the answers.

Try NOT to use the internet seeing as I do not get to use books or the internet for these. You MAY use a calculator. AND, for those of you who don't have the periodic table memorized... (SIGH) you may look at one online.

Here is some questions I have had lately in some of my classes. I'll state the subject, then the question, and a scale of 1-10 on how hard it is. This should be easy for you guys... right?

1 - U.S. History - How many people are in: Level 1
Congress-
House-
Senate-

2 - Spanish - What does "Duchar" mean? Level 6

3 - English - Who wrote Moby Dick? (Cmon should be EASY) Level 1

4 - Science - If you have Uranium 238 (Which has 92 protons) And you lose 3 alpha, 5 Beta, and 108,482 Gamma radiations, what are you left with? Level 10

5 - Math - Solve for 0(s): -x^3+4x-2 Level 10

E.C. How do you type the letter K on your cell phone? State the button sequences to achieve this. Common Sense Lol

Most of you are probably going to wonder "How in the hell did you solve that chemistry problem..."

238 --------------- Alpha Radiation = -2 protons - 2 neutrons
U ------------------ Beta Radiation = Neutron converts to Proton, and electron is released
92 ---------------- Gamma Radiation = insignificant. -1 electron, will drop mass by 0 because of it's small size.

92 protons - 6 protons is 86. Then add the 5 protons from the beta radiation and you get 91 protons. 91 on the periodic table is protactinium (Pa) And then you take the amount lost from the alpha because there is particles being lost, where is beta keeps all mass, and gamma will change it by ever so little.

6+6... 12 238-12=226

Therefore...
226

Well, I could get the math and chem cuz I had to learn that stuff in school. I knew Melville cuz I read Moby Dick last year; but when it comes to languages and US history I got nothing. Then again, I grew up in Africa, so I learned another language, and spanish definately wasn't it.

True true, I was segregating a little considering there are so many options you can take for languages.

Not too bad though.

You're wrong about the letter K in the cell phone though. I just hit the letter K. Man I love my blackberry.

See that is stuff you really don't need to know in everyday life, whereas the smarter than a 5th grader stuff, you should know most of that stuff, not all, but most, and it's sad that people don't.

Lol I don't have the luxury of a blackberry haha. I would like to go somewhere with science, so I'm going to be working hard with that. It is one of the things I excell in.
