Didn't know they had 2 kits, this is the one the parts guy and I found. Ah well, I now have another light on my cluster now and fog lights finally. I'm not to worried about it, I think it still looks good and I don't have to take my truck in and pay them to do a flash.

Only when there's power to the headlights since that's what the relay's hooked into.

CDNOILRAM: I tried sending you a PM but I can't yet since I don't have at least 25 posts.
I had a few questions about the install instructions.
I believe I can handle all the way to where the lights are installed and secured in their housings.
Then you mention that one piece of the harness gets attached to the battery box. I lose you right here.
Can you a add a bit more detailed information about this part? what exactly is the batterybox and how are you securing the harness
plug to the battery box,? is there a place already there that just accepts this piece from the harness ?
Is there not a way to wire these so that they come on when the parking lights come on?

Detail where the dash screws are located for removing the 3 - dash pieces.
Then it gets a bit hairy for me when you have to start splicing wires. can you detail this a little more too.
It would greatly help,

Thanks so much,
TroyH

The battery is actually on a plastic plate (with 45 degree gussets) that's mounted to the frame. You mount the Relay to the side of the box by drilling a hole in the plastic and mounting the bolt (it would've been easier to remove the battery to drill but I'm a hard ass who takes the long way) . If you give me a bit i'll head down and snap some pics for you. Now my interior is a little different since i have the '07 and I thought you had the '04 so it might not be exactely the same.

As for wiring them with the parking lights on, the parking lights are run off of the turn signals in mine, so you'd have to run your relay off of there but you'd have them flash with your signal if you did it that way when your lights were on or making a turn.

if you're buying the kit that needs to be flashed, you're swapping out the OEM light switch to the rotary/pull switch for the fogs, so yes you HAVE to get it flashed or they won't activate.

Alright here's the pics.

This is the relay bolted to the battery box. Just drill the hole and run the bolt through, done.

Here's the relay splice into the headlight line. I have used butt connectors since my HALOs are also hooked in here. The purple line is the relay line, and the white/blue line is the OEM low beam line ('07 driverside). You don't have to cut the line if you don't want to, just melt the covering with a butane pencil torch and either solder the relay line to it or use a cold solder patch availiable from any parts store then tape it all up.
