Default Opinions on tonneau covers...

On my previous truck, I had a Bakflip cover (www.bakflip-tonneau.com). I loved it but I also dont know whats out there that might be better. I need a rigid cover that I can open partially and it must be able to survive a corrosive environment. what have you all seen that is comparable to the bakflip tonneau cover. Thanks in advance for your opinions..

here are some sample pics from the website

You could take a look at the rollbak or other brands that make the roll-up type.

I have a roll-n-lock. It locks to the side bed rails and tailgate for security, as well it's a vinyl cover over interlocking aluminum so it's rigid and still looks great. water proof except where the tailgate and bed-sides meet but that's a truck issue, not a cover one. It locks in 3 other places along the bed as well.

I have the Access Roll Up Cover Limited. I love it.... I have had one on my last 3 trucks. It's soft so it can be rolled, the bars roll with the cover and best of all you can open and close it in the dead of winter!! Plus it sits between the bed rails and not on top of them.

I have an extang trifecta and after seeing the BAKFlip & Peragon, I wish I would have done my research like you are doing.

It's ok but I'm liking the other options that dont cover the rail. and fold up or down to get pretty much the full be area back without having to remove it.

The trifecta is very easy to remove and install though

I have been looking at that cover (bak-flip). How did it hold up?

I put a BakFlip G2 on my new Ram. If you had one, you know they are good covers. I am satisfied, but for the money, the quality of the finish could be a little better. Also, the wife thinks it's a little heavy to flip up.

Yes, the bakflip was a great tonneau cover for me. i actually had the first generation bakflip that I got second hand from a buddy. it didnt have any of the latch hardware or anything. it basically just layed there only attached to the truck at the front of the bed. i was very happy with it. but like you said, for the money...i want to make sure there isnt something else out there that i will like better. The peregon looks great, but I have a below the rail tool box that would interfere with its operation...sux!

I've been looking at the Mopar folding cover. I believe that's the cover one of my uncle's had on his work truck, and it held up pretty well.

Edit: I've also heard that mopar has those covers made for them by Fold-a-Cover
