Although I know not everyone is a fan of lifting 2WD trucks especially V6's ive decided to take mine which is in rather good condition and try lifting it.
My cousin (who owns a shop) and I have put a 6" Superlift kit with a 3" BDS body in his 04' Chevy Silverado 4x4, so after having my truck for awhile and riding in his truck for awhile we have decided to go ahead and try something with my
So here it is.... Yes it is a 1998 Dodge Ram 3.9L 2WD truck. I am going to lift it slightly and stick some 33's under it. It has 31's on it right now and they have been on there since i bought it.
Originally I was going to just do a body or levelling kit but figured since the ORIGINAL stock shocks and coils were still on the truck I would take this as an excuse to put new suspension under it. Im thinking the 3.5" spindle kit from FABTECH will work best. This kit supposedly comes with lift spindles, 4 shocks and a 1.5" block/Ubolt kit.
As for tires im thinking of going with a 285/75/16 Hercules Traildigger M/T on an aftermarket Eagle alloy 16" rim.
I would like to get peoples opinions on the project and will be greatful to take all negative and or positive feedback. Also any stories or experiences with the 3.9L V6 liftage would be great also
Below is how it looks now...
