Default Wind Noise

I complained about this before with the service dept.

the service mngr took it to a body shop.
They did some door adjustments; took the truck down the highway about 15 miles. (very windy day) Neither could hear wind noise. So they figured, problem solved.

NOT!!

Sounds like it is coming from the doors, but not sure.
It is still there. I can hear it and hubby hears it (he has hearing loss from being in tanks for years and working in a manufacturing plant).

I read somewhere about gaskets;
around the windshield and around the side mirrors.
read this somewhere (but can't it)
One person used blue tape, covering a gap on the mirror, and the noise stopped. they had the gaskets changed.

Any ideas??

Sounds to me like it needs to go back . Using tape over suspected areas is the way to help pinpoint the problem area . You might try that yourself and see if you can pinpoint the area that needs the attention . Might try tapping up the gaps in between the fender and hood , door handle area , mirror area etc ... Then take it in with the tape on it . Show them what you''ve done , might teach them something . Let us know how you make out . Tom

I mentioned it when I picked the truck up from the last disaster.
I seriously don't think they know their arse from a hole in the ground.
("I don't know what to tell you")

I really don't want to do business with again.
deceptive, overcharging and thieving turds!
And that's being nice.

As a passenger, try using a piece of hose, hold one end to your ear and the other end where you think the noise is. This may help locate the leak. A stethoscope works great.

The nearest dealer is 45 minutes away and another is about 75 min away.
I need to get with service mngr this week.
He's been gone for hunting.

I'm never a passenger in my truck.
Will try this tip with the other half when he gets back from TN

I had wind noise from around the passenger side door area on my 2009 Ram 1500 Lone Star and although the dealership said they could hear it, it never got fixed, and I have now traded it for a Laramie and so far no noise

i have a 2009 1500 big horn and i too have the same problems, it sounds like it is coming from the passenger side door. it also looks like the seal is warped just havent had time to tinker with it yet.
