Default HID Help Needed. (Fitting Quad Headlamps)

Hi,

SO I have an 09 Laramie with the Quad headlights. I brought a H11 HID kit, and went to install it today only to come across the following problem

Because of the quad headlight setup, the high beem and full beam bulbs share the same wiring (3 wires in total enter the headlamp unit.) The connector on the outside does not match the connector on the HID kit.

When I look to remove the bulb, the connector there is correct, but how have other run the wiring into the unit? There is no way it seems to add the HID wiring?

The HID kit also came with the seperate direct batery connection, here is a link to the HID kit intall diagram:

http://www.xenonhidworlds.com/ztec-install.pdf

Any help would be great, anyone installed a HID on a quad headlamp system and worked around the original wiring without cutting it?

Steve

So how did you re-connect the wiring harness? Looks like you have drilled holes in the back of each bulb holder cover, then have the wiring coming out for each of the Low and High beam, but then how have you connected to the stock wiring harness?

Thanks in advance!

I installed an HIDExrta kit yesterday. Make sure you have the capacitor. The HID ballast is going to connect to the factory wires that originally connected to the low beam lamp. Once you have the lamp removed you will probably need remove the factory clip from the white connecter so it will then connect to your ballast set up.

dubsteve,

Please keep us posted with all information you find and progress on your install. I have the same kit from them waiting in the garage for me after re-hab for triple bypass. I haven't even opened the box yet.

GOOD LUCK with your project, I know it will be worth it.

Question. I tried to remove a headlight, I took 2 bolts out and something in the back was holding it in. I was afraid to pull it. What is in back holding the lamp in??
