Judging by the picture and other installs I have seen... Looks like you unplug the factory harness from the radio, plug it into this, then plug this into the radio and it will allow you to utilize the auxiliary input by selecting satellite on the radio.

yea, they are all plug and play. ive never installed one of em in a ram, but in every other car its plug and play 99% of the time. occasionally you have to grab some sort of power/ground, or plug in an extra harness to retain sat. they are very basic on the install though

If you're looking to add an AUX input, without losing your SAT Best Buy (and pretty much any other electronics outfitter) has an AUX input that they call an FM modulator that plugs inline with your antenna cable.

I added one of these to the wife's charger. It's a powered unit that "senses" music coming down the wires and turns itself on. You can pick up the sound through one of several preset FM stations. I believe the cost was right around $40

Neither she or I have noticed any degradation in sound quality. She plugs in her iPod to it. I've only used it a couple of times, but it's worked like a charm every time.

good luck

Exco

Just now getting around to post, I installed it over Thanksgiving. It was a piece of cake to install. Just plugs inline between the radio and the factory harness. I now have and option for DVD on my radio and it now is the AUX in for my mp3 player. The only bad thing is that the AUX isn't as loud as the other sources. It's 7 volume clicks quieter.
I adjusted the inputs on the pac module as high as they'll go. No big deal, I plan on adding an amp and some new speakers after Christmas. Nothing crazy, just want to run a solid 4 channel and new 6x9's, 6's and 4's. A buddy of mine supposedly has a "hook up" on ordering that stuff so I'll see what I can do for 2-3 hundred.

Awesome! Glad that worked out for you. Sucks to hear that the input volume is lower though.
