Just sold my '86 Chevy 1 ton. Ol girl had 350k on her with just routine maintenance. Still runs like a raped ape, and hated to sell her, but can't afford to be runnin around with no 6mpg, and hate ton just let her sit and rot. Ain't never seen a ford make it near that long.

I would have to go with the Ford, my first truck was a 1988 F-250 460ci with standard tranny, which I just could not kill, its been airborn, underwater, everything. Only problem I ever had was the brake line blew twice. I had to sell her 4 years ago once gas prices just got too high to be running 600 miles to college at 6MPG....

I've had all of the big three now. I do NOT like Ford - had a Lemon buy back. I love my Chevys but for 2012 Ram is the leader in looks and power so Im trying them out

Ford for me. I have had both in the past, and like ford better. The 4l60e and 4l80e are a weak point on chevy/gmc

Well since owning a Dodge RAM, I would not pick either however with that being said, I would support the FORD only due to the fact that my dad works on the line at ford and I would support his product. My dad fell in love with my truck and will be buying a RAM in the near future... That has to say something.......

chevy/gmc. Just sold my 1994 Sierra Xcab with 175000 miles and bought my current Ram. Wouldn't hesitate to buy another GMC.

Since I only get Ford or Chev as a choice, would have to say Ford. IMO much better low end torque for hauling and towing. I had a Nissan Titan crew cab before the Dodge, that was a very impressive truck as well, but love my Ram hands down!

Fords just don't have enough cab room, even on the extended cabs. With kids, I need as much room as I can get. Combine the room with the gas mileage, and if you did not see the commercial, Chevy's are apocalypse proof lol. Chevy gets my vote.

I don't want to be another Dave .

198-198, Wow, split down the middle. I would go with the Chevy by far. Extremely reliable. My dads had his 93 Chevy 1500 for 7 or 8 years now, and it runs beautifully. It looks amazing too. Fords just aren't nearly as reliable. Dodge crushes them both though.
