Chevy for me. I've seen a crap ton of chevys go on forever and ever and ever, and very few fords. IMO they're better in just about every way.

I have 01 Silverado Extended Cab 4x4 with 130K on it. I have used and abused this truck and it has never given me issues. I went to a Ram becuase my Chevy's power plant is too small to handle a TT I just bought and the HEMI is a monster. I pushed myself to look at Fords but the lines are so ugly and the interiors are so Cooky Cutter.

For sure a GMC/Chev. Grew up with my dad working for a gm dealership and grew up around him always having GMC trucks and I loved each and every one of them. Not as much as my Ram though, Now he has his Caddy, and then for hauling trailers at the dealership he has a Ford 08 F350 4x4, 05 ram 2500 RWD hemi, and a 98 2500 cummins 4x4 for plowing (Engine still pumping strong, body and tranny have seen better days). The Ford is garbage, it's main purpose is hauling fifth wheels and pull behinds to RV shows and deliveries, but have had problems all around with it) Just doesn't cut it for a HD diesel. Hell i drove it through a little snow pile and the thing got stuck with 32inch wranglers on it.
I've seen way to many fords broken down through friends and family members to ever buy one (minus an old bronco, just because it's a bronco).
Fix. Or. Repair. Daily.

I am the youngest of six kids and I watched some of my older siblings struggle with Fords. We had a Mercury Marquis that the choke never worked on. The carb was too expensive to replace so us kids took turns standing on the milk crate and taking the breather cover off and holding the choke closed while Mom started beast. Went to Catholic school sometimes smelling like leaded gasoline. OK, done with the flashback, no Fords in the driveway for me, Chevy only if not my Ram.

I voted Ford, my last truck was a Ford and it took a lot of abuse. Always started and drove like it was new, just needed a bigger truck and preferred the look and price of the RAM over the F150.

If I had to pick Ford or Chevy, I would have to go Chevy just to pi$$ my father-in law off.
