My fire district staff vehicle is a Silverado. Its rusting thru on the rockers, the door and panel fit is terrible, the rear window leaks bad, the engine has a knock at 50,000 miles and the 4wd growls all the time. Maybe just a bad one, but I have never had this trouble with my mopars. Just my 2 cents.

I had an 07 silverado, excellent truck. 4.8L has good towing and rides nice but if you want a bigger engine you will pay alot more. my 07 had a 4.8 lots of perks inside but when my friend in his 06 hemi crushed me on the highway (both of us hauling identical 30ft campers) my midn was changed, traded in the chev and picked up a 09 ram. the price for the 09 ram was alot cheaper than getting 09 silverado with a bigger engine.

chevy no question, had alittle dodge transfusion about a year ago and very pleased.Still drive the 92 blazer to work with 170k and let the wife cruise the mega cab during the week.Ford crews do have alot of room compared to chevy, but the ford would have to be really cheap. Not bashing fords but their deisels are noisy and try changing a serp belt on one!

I had 2 chevys in my time. 94 chevy camaro and 87 chevy pick up I still have. I love the way the chevy avalanche spoils you. so I go with chevy!! But love the muscle, tough look, dependability of dodge.

I have been a Dodge fan since I first opened my eyes and saw a Ram, but if I had to, I would have to go Chevy. I love their styling (except the new cinderblock ones...yuck...). And they make some nice motors. I have seen too many problems on Fords to own one. Most vehicles up on the lifts in our college auto shop are Fords and GMs. But more Fords, seeing that alone turns me away.

I've owned both and I was happy with them both. I would go with the Ford just because of all of the Bailout garbage with Chevy. It all comes down to politics this time.
