Default 4.10 gears and limited slip installed

Got my gears installed but I'm still waiting on the DiabloSport Predator....
It seems that Diablo sent Air Flow Innovations the wrong one. They say that they'll have Diablo send it directly to me, and that I should have it on Wednesday but I haven't gotten a shipping confirmation yet.

As for the gears, I havent had a chance to go to the track to see what kind of gains it gave my truck, but judging from the smile on my face, the gains were significant!

This Ram jumps off the line VERY hard now! And it will drift on dry pavement as well.

After ordering my gears and Predator, I didn't know which I was more excited about, but I've never been THIS impressed with any other mod to this truck or any other vehicle I've owned. I can't believe how these gears have really made this truck wake up!!! I think it was well worth the money!

I'm now just waiting on the Predator, and a free Friday night to hit the track! The wife just gave birth to our second child (a healthy boy, 8 lbs 2.9 oz., 21" long)on last Tuesday the 17th so I don't think I'll be getting a yard pass anytime soon, LOL!!

But I still want to run it with the gears, WITHOUT the programmer, just to see for myself what it gained, and then install the programmer and make a few more passes and see what gains the truck gets with the gears AND programmer.

Looks like I won't be able to hit the track till Dec 4th, or 11th, but I'll be sure to keep you guys and gals posted.....

Gears and limited slip w/install kit from this eBay Store:

http://stores.ebay.com/RONS-MACHINING-SERVICE

$550.00 shipped, $65.00 for 3 quarts of Royal Purple 75W140 gear oil (already has limited slip additive), $105.00 to have Dodge re-flash PCM to correct the pinion factor, and $250.00 to a mechanic/friend. Probably would have been $450.00 for labor if I took it to the local gear shop.... So a total of $970.00....

If Dodge were to have done it, it would have been $2800.00 to $3200.00!!
I lost the warranty on my rear diff, but with the money I saved by not having Dodge do it, if it screws up I can do it again 2 more times and still not spend the same as it would have costed to let Dodge do it once!!

Thanks! My wife and I are very excited to have a son! With he and my 2 1/2 year old daughter, our family is now complete!!

Time to schedule the neutering! LOL!

His name is Drew McKeller.......family names. Drew is my Great Uncle who died during the Korean Conflict, and McKeller was my wife's Great Grandfather who died in WWII.

First and formost, congrads on your son!

Would love to see your track times to see what kind of gains you got. I've thought about switching gears and it's good to see what someone else had to do. How co-operative was dodge to reflash the PCM? Would this be something that the predator could do? If anyone knows that?

Dodge was very cooperative...But VERY quick to inform me of the warranty issue. Yes the Diablo should take care of it, but if ever I was to take the programmer out of the truck it would have gone back to stock configuration, which would have been the 3.55 pinion factor, so I decided to have them do it to remedy that problem. I guess I could have waited for my programmer to come in, but decided to do the re-flash just because I'm impatient!

I'll definately post track times when I finally get to go to the track!

Congratulations on your baby boy! My son just turned 3 on Nov. 17th. That's a great day for sure!

I have thought about new gears as well. Please keep an eye on the MPG changes as well as the performance gain and keep us post. I am looking forward to your updates.
