Default My problem with pics

i am trying to install a 2" drop shackle. the problem is the nuts are on the fender side and the bold has to come out on the side of the frame. what do i do to get them out? any tips on getting the nuts loose without the use of a impact?

Thats crazy . Maybe sawzall the upper bolt and pull it out . Reinstall new bolt the other way . Doesn't look like you have much clearance there . Will have to watch and make sure it dont hit . May have to trim it down . If not you may have to remove the bracket and install it the factory way .

I see what you are talking about now. Might have to get the bottom bolt out, then either lift or drop the the frame enough for the upper bolt to clear it.

What worked for me in the past was letting some WD-40 soak on it, then using the spring perch to brace the wrench while loosening the nut on the other side.

i just finished putting my shackles on(will show pics tomorrow). i first had to take my hitch off and the spare tire. then i heated the bolts with a torch until they were glowing hot. the bushing started to catch fire and smoke, thats how hot i got em'. next thing i did was took a hammer and knocked the bolts flush. after that a center punch drove the bolts on threw.
