Default Option Codes

Hi guys,

First post on the site. Lots of great info here and I hope you guys can help me out.

I just took delivery of a 2010 Ram Sport 4x4. I have been wondering about how I find out what axle ratio that I have. I believe that each has its own option code.

On a related note, I have been trying to find the list of the option codes that are on my truck. I read somewhere here that there is a sticker with all the codes on it in the glove compartment or under the hood. I have checked both places on my truck but no luck. Any other places I should check?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Lay under the truck , look at the differential cover . Under one of the bolts should be a tag with the ratio on it . Let us know how you make out .

OK, will check it out, thanks.

Having said that, I was also hoping to find this mysterious sticker with all the option codes for my truck. Can anyone help me with any other places that Dodge hides these?

Cool

With Tom. On the diff you should find it. Im suprised thers nothing in ths glove box door. Is there anything listed on your bill of sale? you could check with the dealers parts dept. you will need the V.I.N for your truck. Just a guess try looking on the inner door/latch aspect of the door. Like i said thats a guess. Good luck keep us posted.

If you just bought your truck brand new, it should tell you the axle ratio on the window sticker from the factory.

Something else you could do, is if you go to www.dodge.com and do a dealer inventory search and find your truck (if it is still listed at the dealer), then you can click on "view window sticker." There you will see all the options and axle ratio.

I guess I was too slow for this idea, as my truck is no longer showing on the dealership inventory. I do have the "inventory number" that they used for my truck, as well as (obviously) the VIN. I was hoping Dodge might have a way to look it up through those.

In terms of the original window sticker, the dealer took it off and tossed it before I asked for it.

I guess the only idea I have left is to talk to the salesperson who sold you the truck and get him to get you the info.
