Default Waxing those hard to reach places

Ok guys here's a question for you. I have never had a truck as big as a Dodge Ram and washing it the other day for the first time I realized that waxing this thing was going to be a challenge. How do you guys reach the top of the hood by the windshield to wax? I'm worried that if I use a ladder and lean over, it might tilt and smack the truck....noooooo.
Any tips?

I open the front doors, stand on the sill plate and wax on/wax off.

LOL I thought the same thing the first time I washed my truck. I was simply spray washing it and had to get up on my step bars to hit the top. Huge beast of a truck! I love it!

I'll be following this thread for tips.

Thanks guys, the standing on the sill plate and the step stool seem better ideas than using a metal ladder.

I did buy at the auto parts store a microfiber wash mitt on an extendible stick. It was about $10 bucks and the mitt can be replaced. I think this will make washing the hood and roof a lot easier!

Topside creeper . Have one at work for working under the hood of our trucks . Don't have to strain your back to work over the engine . Don't see why you can't use it for washing and waxing the hood . It's adjustable (height and angle) . Not to badly priced . Can find it on the net .
