No personal experience myself with any headers. But a friend of mine has a 2009 Silverado 5.3L. He put a set of JBS (I think) headers on his and he said he could definitely tell a difference.

You'll notice a difference over the stock log header no matter what you put in, the next question is, where do you want your power? Long tube headers give you more torque and power in the low end, shorties will give you more power in the mid to high range. Shorties are also direct replacement to the stock, where as long tubes need some mods to get them to fit.
