Well, if you got some RAM buddies get 'em on here, and I'll let you know now, I'm planning a spring get together for the local Mopar guys with a meet and drive to Banff. I gotta get in touch with people on the other Zs but I know the caliberZ set up a pretty good meet n' greet in the fall.
Cool, sounds fun. I am new to this site, I live in Bowness. So hello fellow Calgary Mopar guys!

Would anyone want to trade rims and tires? I have a. 2011 sport with Nitto Trail Grapplers 295/55/20 tires and the chrome rims, the tires are just too loud for me on the hi way, you don't need the lift and level kit as they dont rub.... Let me know ...

What are you guys running for tires for winter? I hate the stock junk that came on mine, I find it hydroplanes really badly with them. I'm thinking of getting a set of 17" wheels and running something different for winter but not sure what's a good winter tire. I run highway all the time so my concern is mostly keeping control over that slush rut that builds up and throws you around when changing lanes. I've heard some say an agressive A/T is the way to go but I've also heard that's no good for ice.

I'm not sure how they would do on half tons, but I used to run Hankook Dynapro ATM's on my diesel when I was a hot shotter and they were great in the winter. Really cut down the pull when you hit the slush puddles on deerfoot and they really impressed me on ice as far as stopping and steering goes. I had them in 35x12.50x17.
I have also heard the Cooper discovery SS mud terrains are great in the winter due to their really soft compound. Never would have thought of running mud terrains in the winter but my buddy swore by them.

Thanks I'll look into those. A friend of mine in Medicine Hat runs the coopers and swears by them as well but I always kind of thought the same, that mud tires are nfg in winter. Something somewhat agressive would be nice so I could swap them on in the summer when we go camping.

Hey guys, I work at a Kal Tire in Calgary, I've got studded winters going on to my stock 20's this winter (Nokian) which i know is a bit over kill, but why not. There's the "Multi-mile" version of the coopers that we sell which is the "ARCTIC CLAW" which is always a good tire and not too expensive. They also make one which is a winter rated all season called the XTX sport which most of my customers say hand well in the winter. Hope this helps.
