Hey LC did you get your TLC kit locally or order it online? I've been thinking of something like that for towing the horse trailer.

I get the shudder when I stop. It's like the truck does a quick shiver. I figured it was the MSD kicking in but I don't remember it doing it when I first bought it. But I can feel eco mode kick in and out while driving too. Unless this is a transmission issue... I'm over due for an oil change anyways, I should prbably ask them about it. My fuel milage has been out to lunch lately too. 17L/100 on the highway is starting to eat up the wallet a bit.

My gas millage was that bad for a while after I took my truck in for a oil change. I thought they messed something up. Then I realized I had got the last two tanks of gas at Costco. Went somewhere else for gas and the mileage was back to normal.

I ordered mine online direct from TLC.

My mileage has gone into the crapper, I've been holding at 19-21 consistently. I only use 2 gas stations..... I can get it down to 15 on he highway. I figured it might be the tires being a bit wider.

i think the only thing worth purchasing it probably the air bags. for the leveling idea. i was thinking of the firestones. had them on an old truck and they were awesome.

im most definetly gonna do the swa to the blue when i change my trans fluid.thanks for the idea man!

i might invest in the hids too very soon. u have had no issues at all eh? had them on my old truck and they were so good. got alot of high beam flashes and middle fingers though haha.

Hey RyanGroch,

I pull a 26 Ft. Travel Trailer weighing in around 6500 Lbs. with my 2011 Outdoorsman. No problem towing - I try to keep between 100 to 105 kph on the highway for fuel mileage reasons. Had a 2003 Quad Cab Hemi previous to that. I put the Firestone Coil Rite Air Bags on the rear of my 2011 as it had pronounced sag right from day one - even with my weight distribution hitch. It works great now. The TLC system is also an awesome system if you can get a good deal on one. I might also invest in the HID's that LC Hauler sells as he seems to have had good luck with them and these trucks sure could use better headlights. You can aim them up and down but not side to side - figure that one out?

Do you guys have any suggestions for reputable gear/differential shops in Southern Alberta? Looking to get some quotes, but not sure where to start.

Thanks

The shops that do the most are the 4x4 shops. I had mine done at Temple of Torque in Calgary, but the name has changed since then. Honestly, I was given a price of $700-800 at my local Dodge dealer in Cochrane for re-installing my original 3.55s and I don't think that's too bad.

I hate to send any negative comments out but I have heard nothing but bad reviews lately, mostly by automotive tradesman, of work done by Pat's Driveline in Calgary. I personally have a friend who had them check his driveshaft for balance and although they told him it was withinin Spec., they went ahead and tweaked it more anyways but did not ask his permission first. It was a highly detailed (painted) driveshaft from his Vintage Musclecar and when he picked the driveshaft up he nearly blew a gasket. There were deep gauges in the unit and they had repainted the entire thing with rattle can black - just looked horrible. He re-installed it on his car and the vibration he previously had was even worse.

Just thought others should know as this place might not be your best bet.
