Need some info in your truck first, but if you keep the case in neutral, you won't go anywhere!

Hello. Iguess you have a automatic 4x4? You should have it in 2 wheel unless you need 4 low or high. If its in neutral you wont be able to go anywhere. What are you planning on doing. Your in florida? No snow there eh.

No, Snow. LOL. But plenty of sandy hills. just wandering cause the shifter looks like it is all the way up. Maybe in 4 high. So I wanted to know how to put back in 2 wheel. never had a 4 wheel drive before. Yes by the way it is an automatic.

If you look at the shifter knob it shows you. top is 4 low then neutral then 2wd then 4 high at the bottom. As long as your not moving you can shift it.

As bones said you should have an indicator on your guage clusted that shows what your in.

I got a quation on this too when shifting in and out of 2WD and 4WD Lock

Is it normal to get a JUMP until its engaged???
And seems like the gas pedal is really jumping alot when hit at low speeds making it hard to park/pull out of spots

Well i have had only a couple 4x4 both of them Dodge (of course). I never shifted while moving. I never felt comfee doin it. I just came to a stop and shifted it to were i needed it. Mind you with both trucks i hardly used the four wheel drive. This is why i have a 2 wheeler now. On occasion it does suck ...........like right now.snow, snow, and oh yah! snow.
